New Future

How to get involved

How to get involved

New Future welcomes and relies on involvement from a wide range of people and organisations who share both a passion and commitment to building healthier, fairer, and more sustainable built environments. We believe that everyone is a stakeholder in the process of changing the way places are designed and built – from individuals looking to improve their own homes, to educators, policymakers, tradespeople, and industry leaders. Everyone stands to be a part of driving systemic change.

The easiest way to get involved with New Future would be to reach out directly through our Contact page, or come along to one of our public events. We are not only open to, but seek out, dialogue with anyone interested in learning, collaborating, or supporting the New Future project.

Partners

Partners

Strategic partners are crucial to New Future’s longevity. Beyond general engagement, we look to team up with partners who can help with practical delivery of training programmes, with hosting public events, or funding research initiatives.

Ideal partners might be institutions such as heritage bodies, schools, colleges and universities, or community organisations and groups that are engaged in critical thinking about sustainable construction.

Partnerships might involve co-delivering events, hosting workshops, contributing to expertise, or opening doors to broader networks and policymakers. We also welcome allies of advocacy – individuals or groups who will amplify New Future’s message and connect us with decision-makers.

Three partnership types work alongside New Future’s native team:

Delivery partner: helping deliver core activities, events and projects.

Education partner: engaging with our training and education programme through course provision and/or support.

Research partner: working with us on research and development streams, advocacy and policy.

Support

Support

Support for New Future is welcomed from whoever feels able to provide it, in whichever format they can. This could be in- kind sponsorship, sharing of expertise, offering collaboration opportunities, invitations to speak or present, helping to expand our network, promoting our work publicly, or volunteering.

Practical support like providing project spaces, adjacent event needs like catering or printing, and sounding our message as loudly as possible through media and community connections is highly valuable, reinforcing our key message that it takes an entire industry to change embedded cultures and systems.
